Frequently Asked Questions

Many of our designs feature rich detail and vibrant colors. The more intricate the artwork, the better it suits intermediate to advanced painters. But don’t worry — if you’re just starting out, we’ve created a special Beginner-Friendly category with designs perfect for your first project. Once you complete your first piece, you’ll be well on your way to painting like a pro

All you need is the desire to give something new a try and lots of patience. Many of these kits can take hours to complete. Remember, this is a journey and there is no timeline to reach your destination. Take your time and enjoy the process as much as you can!

Get set up in a well lit area. Fill up a cup with water to clean your brushes between colors. Pick the best size brush for the area you are painting. Don’t over saturate your brush but make sure you put enough paint to get a seamless stroke. You will get the hang of it!

There is no wrong or correct answer here, you will find your best approach as you begin to work through your project. Here are some suggestions:

  • Experiment with painting from lightest to darkest colors or vice versa. This allows you to gain a deeper understanding of color composition and their interplay. In many cases the lighter colors take a couple of coats so many people prefer to begin with them.
  • For larger canvasses you could start from the middle and work your way out to the edges.
  • Some people start with color No.1 and then move to No.2 until they reach the last color.
  • Don’t be afraid to experiment and try different things.

Don’t worry at all if you make a mistake. The great thing about acrylics is that you can paint over them! Everybody has a different painting style and technique which means that every canvas will come out a little different. It is okay to take a little creative expression if you go over a line. There is no perfection in this craft!

If you feel that your paint is too thick, it’s easy to fix! Just add a few drops of water or acrylic thinning medium (found very affordably on Amazon). Beware, you can always add more but can’t add less so just add a few drops at a time. It is easy to mix the paint with a toothpick!

Due to less pigment in the paint, it is completely normal and very common for lighter colors to show the numbers below. Do not fret! We suggest you load up your brush with paint and dab the color over the numbers first, then once dried just paint over the area. Some people also dab a little bit of white-out over the number to cover it up.

If you are not purchasing a framed canvas it is normal for the canvas to show up with some wrinkles. Do not worry there is an easy fix! Before you begin painting place the canvas face down on an ironing board, put your iron on low and gently iron out the wrinkles until they are gone.

Our paint is non-toxic, eco-friendly acrylic paint with vibrant colors. It dries quickly and leaves a beautiful matt finish.

Depending on the size a kit can take anywhere between 6-14 hours to complete. We recommend taking your time, there is no deadline and enjoying the process is the best part!
